Viewing your feedback & results

After a simulation is completed, both the learner and the creator can review what happened. What’s shown to the learner depends on the simulation’s report settings.

What a participant sees after finishing

If the simulation asks for a debrief, the learner first writes up the conversation — with the transcript open beside them — before anything else is shown. The debrief is graded too: the page reads “Write your debrief — you get feedback on it too.”

Then they land on the report page. Its first screen lists every step of the report, starting with Report overview (“You are here”). Each step is ticked off once the learner finishes it — for example, after viewing the feedback, finishing the feedback chat, or downloading the PDF — and a counter shows how far they are, such as “3 of 5 steps completed”. The report can include:

  • Detailed Feedback — a criteria-by-criteria assessment with grades (when the creator has enabled it).
  • Evaluator Chat (listed as Processing Chat on the report overview) — an AI conversation where they can ask follow-up questions about their performance (when enabled).
  • Quiz Results — if the simulation includes a quiz.
  • Export PDF — to download their report (when enabled). The creator can include the simulation conversation in the PDF.

If the report is still being prepared

Grading starts when the learner presses End and runs in the background. If the learner opens the report before it is ready, they see Your feedback report is being prepared: “This can take a few minutes. The page updates on its own when the report is ready.” They can wait on the page. A dropped connection during grading loses nothing.

Instructors who open the same report before grading finishes need to refresh the page to see it.

Whether grades and feedback appear to the learner is set by the creator — see Controlling what participants see.

How a creator reviews participants’ results

Open the space that holds the activity and find it on the Content tab. From the activity’s card you can open:

  • Results — opens Space Simulation Analytics, the results for that activity in this space: who took part, completion status, scores, and a link into each participant’s full report.
  • Live dashboard (in the Share button’s menu, or the ⋮ menu) — a live dashboard for the activity.

From the Library, a simulation’s ⋮ menu also offers View Report — results across every run of that simulation, wherever it has been shared. For more on the results page, see Where to see your participants’ results.

To keep your averages focused, you can exclude a participant’s runs — for example your own test runs — so they don’t count toward the statistics; see Excluding a participant from report averages.

To download transcripts or reports, see Exporting transcripts & reports.
