Creation History: resume, open, or delete your AI builder sessions
When you build a simulation with the AI builder, Professor Cesura, the conversation is saved. The Creation History tab lists your conversations so you can pick an unfinished one up exactly where you left off, reopen a finished one, or jump straight to the simulation a conversation created.
Where to find it
Open History from the sidebar. If your role can create simulations, the page shows two tabs:
- Simulation Runs — your own practice runs (the view everyone has always had).
- Creation History — your Professor Cesura conversations, including ones from the earlier version of the builder.
If you don't see the tabs, your account doesn't have simulation-creation permissions — the History page then shows only your simulation runs.
The list shows the conversations you started, most recently active first. Conversations with the current Professor Cesura are listed for the organization you are currently working in.
What each conversation shows
- Topic — taken from your first descriptive message to Professor Cesura, so you can recognize the conversation at a glance. A conversation with no meaningful message yet appears as Untitled session.
- Started and Last Activity — when the conversation began and when you last worked on it.
- Status — Active (still in progress) or Completed.
- Messages — how many chat messages the conversation contains.
Continue a conversation
Click the play button (Continue Creating). The Professor Cesura chat reopens with the full conversation, its drafts and your answers restored, and you continue exactly where you stopped. Nothing you described is lost, even if you closed the browser mid-way.
You can reopen a Professor Cesura conversation even after it has built its simulation, for example to review what you agreed to. Sessions from the earlier version of the builder offer Continue Creating only while they are Active.
Open the simulation a conversation created
Conversations that produced a simulation show a pencil button (Open Simulation). Click it to open that simulation in the editor, where you make any further changes. See The simulation editor, explained.
Sessions from the earlier version of the builder
Conversations you had with the earlier version of Professor Cesura are listed in the same table and behave as they always did:
- They are kept for 30 days and then removed automatically. While any are listed, the tab says "Creation history is kept for 30 days."
- You can delete one: click the trash button and confirm in the Delete Creation Session dialog. This removes the session from your history and cannot be undone. It does not delete any simulation it created.
Conversations with the current Professor Cesura do not expire and have no delete button. If none of your earlier sessions are listed, the 30-day notice does not appear.
If part of the list doesn't load
The two kinds of conversation load separately. If one of them can't be loaded, the rest of your history still appears, with a message saying which conversations are missing — for example "Couldn't load your workflow builder runs. Only earlier Professor Cesura sessions are shown." Reload the page to try again.
Finding an older run or conversation
On Simulation Runs, filter by status and search by the name of the simulation to pull one run out of a long history. Creation History has no filter or search: it lists every conversation, most recently active first. On both tabs, timestamps are relative — “today” and “yesterday” with the time of day — so recent work is easy to pick out.
On a phone both tabs show compact cards instead of a table. On Simulation Runs the phone view also has a one-tap status filter and a Load more button instead of page arrows.
Good to know
- Creation History only lists Professor Cesura conversations. It is not the edit history of a simulation — for that, see View your edit history and restore a previous version.
