Can I move a simulation to another space?
Short answer: there is no Move button — and there is nothing to move. A simulation does not live inside a space. It lives in your Library, which belongs to your organization, and a space simply points at it. The same simulation can be pointed at by as many spaces as you like, at the same time.
So instead of moving it, you add it to the other space, and optionally remove the pointer from the first one.
Add the simulation to another space
- Open the Library and find the simulation.
- Click Share (the same button is in the simulation editor). The Share with a group dialog opens.
- Switch to Add to Existing.
- Under Select Space, choose the destination space.
- Click Add to Space.
The simulation now appears in both spaces. Each space collects its own participants and its own results, so the two groups never mix.
Important: both spaces use the same simulation
You added a reference, not a copy. Editing the simulation — instructions, character, feedback criteria, forms — changes it for every space it appears in, including groups that are already running it.
If you want the second space to have a version you can change independently:
- In the Library, open the simulation's ⋮ menu and click Duplicate, then confirm. You get a new simulation named Name (Copy).
- Share that copy to the destination space using the steps above.
Removing it from the original space
If you really want it gone from the first space, open that space, click the More menu on the simulation and choose Delete.
Warning — this is not just unlinking. Deleting a simulation from a space permanently deletes everything that space collected for it: participant runs, transcripts, form answers and quiz results. This cannot be undone. If any participant has already run the simulation in that space, export what you need first (see Exporting transcripts & reports), or simply leave the simulation in both spaces.
The simulation itself is safe — it stays in your Library, and any other space that uses it is unaffected. Only a space Admin or Owner can delete a simulation from a space.
What about moving to a different organization?
Not possible. A simulation belongs permanently to the organization that created it. To collaborate across organizations, share a space instead — see How sharing works: spaces, activities & access levels.
Quick reference
| You want to… | Do this |
|---|---|
| Run the same simulation in another space too | Share → Add to Existing → Add to Space |
| Have a version you can edit separately | Duplicate first, then share the copy |
| Take it out of the original space | Delete it there — destroys that space's results |
| Give it to a different organization | Not supported |
