Re-running the same simulation for a new group (second wave or graded assessment)
Want to run the same simulation again — for a new group, a second wave, or to move it from practice to a graded assessment — and analyze that run on its own? You have two options, and both keep the new results separate from the first run.
Option 1: Add the simulation again to your existing space
Every simulation you share is an activity inside a space (your workspace), and each activity collects its own results separately. So you can add the same simulation a second time as a new activity:
- Open the Library and find the simulation.
- Click Share on the simulation's card.
- Choose Add to Existing and pick your existing space.
Share the new activity's link with your group. Its results are reported separately from the first run, so you can analyze just this run.
Option 2: Create a new space
If you'd rather keep everything fully separate, create a new space for the new run:
- Open the Library and find the simulation.
- Click Share, keep Create New, give the space a name, and pick an access level.
- Click Create Space and share its link.
All of this run's data lives in its own space, completely separate from the practice round.
Tip: Moving from practice to a graded assessment? Exam settings (hide feedback, edit grades) belong to the simulation itself, so they apply in every space that uses it. To grade the new run without changing the practice one, Duplicate the simulation in the Library, set up the copy as an exam, and share the copy. See Set up a simulation as an exam.
